Weekly Wrap: 8/5

Flying in to PosyTown

  1. Today’s post is brought to you from PosyTown (pictured). After two and a half years, it was time to visit… Most excitingly, we are here to spend time with my new nephew! He is absolutely gorgeous, and it is going to be difficult to say goodbye. My heart feels a little more full after meeting him this afternoon! It’s a little surreal to be back in PosyTown, but it’s nice to be back (I am missing home already though) – however it is very hot and humid and I am struggling a little lot! … It’s been a while since I’ve been on a plane for more than two hours, and it was an effort to sit for that long, I tell you.
  2. I watched Fathers & Daughters (Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried) and The Dressmaker (Kate Winslet, Liam Hemsworth) on the plane, and boy was that a mistake. Terrific films, but oh how I bawled… I got off the plane bleary-eyed and feeling a little distraught.
  3. I have chewed through more than a month’s worth of phone data in about six days thanks to home broadband that has been slower (!) than dial-up. I love having to pay for extra data on my phone because the obscene amount of data as part of our home internet service, that we pay a hefty monthly sum for, isn’t accessible. Apparently the telco is working on whatever it is that is affecting our area…
  4. You know you’ve been overdoing it on the Demazin when the Pharmacist gently reminds you, after checking/logging your details in the system as part of the sale, that the drug is for short-term use only, and that it can become addictive. It’s been a rough start to the year with colds/sinus infections/allergies to life, what can I say.

I did the same thing with my mobile when were were without home wifi for a few weeks. It was painful trying to send proper emails via my phone…

Sorry to hear about your sinuses. I’ve been relatively lucky with only one bad attack this season. So far.

    Have a lovely week.

Fingers crossed you don’t have any more bad sinus attacks any time soon. I had my worst yet when we were on Lord Howe (so blocked I couldn’t even swallow water/food, completely lost my sense of smell, so much pain/yuck) – it was awful, and worse than any attacks I’ve ever had; I hope I never experience anything like it again. I am finally feeling well now though (aside from a bit of hay fever) – hopefully I’m done for a while!

Hope you enjoyed all the sunshine this weekend xx
