Weekly Wrap: 7/8

  1. After a very cold, wet and generally miserable week weather-wise, I am hoping for some sun in the days ahead. Despite the gloomy weather making me feel a little gloomy, I did spot a couple of stunning rainbows throughout the week which (temporarily) put a little pep back in my step. I wasn’t quick enough with the camera, so pictured is the rainbow I snapped at Bullocks Flat last Sunday when we got off the Skitube.
  2. I still can’t believe we were at the snow last weekend! It feels like a lifetime ago..
  3. Wine Island is back in November, and after missing out last year, I am excited to have secured our spot early! We bought our tickets this week, thanks to a mate organising a group booking.
  4. Mr Posy talked me into watching Suicide Squad in Gold Class this weekend, which I booked before I heard about all the bad reviews. After hearing about the slam reviews the movie had received, I figured I could always use the opportunity to catch up on sleep (comfortable seats and dark theatre = nap-time), but in the end I enjoyed the movie and didn’t fall asleep once.
  5. What a great result for the Aussies on Day 1 at the Olympics – Bronze for the men’s archery team, and two Gold medals (and a world record) in the pool! I was screaming at the TV during the women’s 4×100 freestyle relay, and may have scared PosyKitty a little…
  6. I love my job and I love my colleagues, but I am so excited that I have one more day off this weekend, thanks to a flex day tomorrow. I plan to sleep in, wander out for a coffee, and then head back home for many naps. I am wrecked after months of burning the candle at both ends, and the snow trip last weekend finished me off, so I have really enjoyed doing a whole lot of nothing this weekend, in part thanks to the dreary weather!
