Weekly Wrap: 3/52

  1. It has been one of those weeks where I’ve been incredibly distracted – I got in to work one morning and realised I was only wearing one earring. I genuinely couldn’t work out whether I’d lost the other on my morning commute, or if I’d only put one earring in before leaving the house. The thought of having lost an earring was devastating – they were my graduation gift to myself; but at the same time, the thought I’d only remembered to put one earring in was troubling – it’s too early in the year to have lost my mind. Thankfully the other earring was right where I left it – at home… PHEW. I think.
  2. It’s probably somewhat related, but I’m feeling a little lost at the moment, which I am putting down to what seems to be my annual dose of January ennui. I think it is somewhat heightened this year with a few things ups in the air with my work and me feeing the need for a little more direction internally as to where I see myself in the next few years. It’s been a little while since I’ve stopped and really taken the time to look at where I’m at, where I was, and where I want to go in the future, so it’s probably time to sit down and work out a few goals!
  3. Mr Posy and I paid a visit to the Gallery this weekend to check out the Nude exhibition, and we stopped in to have a look at the works in another exhibition while we were there (pictured). It was amazing!
  4. My birthday is coming up, and I treated myself to an early present this weekend – a Céline wallet. My old Marc Jacobs wallet was barely hanging in there (I bought it in our last visit to NYC… back in 2009, ahem), but I couldn’t let it go until I found something I really loved to replace it. I am very happy with my new purchase; it was worth the wait!
  5. While I feel well on the whole, my cough is still hanging around and driving me generally crazy. It’s going on three weeks and I’ve had enough.
  6. I’m feeling ready for the work week ahead – all three days of it! – after spending the morning at the beach. It was absolutely glorious today. A Sunday well spent, and all that.

Weekly Wrap: 2/52

  1. I made it through what felt like a never-ending first week back in the office – the days are long when you can’t have a mid-afternoon nap! It certainly wasn’t a quiet start to my 2017 working year, but I feel like I kicked a few goals this week, and I’m hoping this coming week will be less tiring…
  2. Mr Posy and I went to the Sydney Derby last night to cheer on Sydney FC (pictured). With over 40,000 people in attendance the atmosphere was incredible, however I was a little disappointed that we went home without a win. With that said, a draw is certainly better than a loss!
  3. I got a little spendy this past week and indulged in a couple of purchases, including a super cute dinosaur print top from Marcs (🙊), some casual pants from Seed and a couple of dresses from Review. I got my KonMari on at the end of last year, where I whittled two wardrobes full of my clothes down to <one and I have a few gaps to fill when it comes to casual and work-wear. Also, it’s Birthday Month, and if you can’t treat yourself then, when can you? Ahem.
  4. Bridegroom on Netflix. I bawled my eyes out.
  5. Another week of hot weather is upon us – here’s hoping the heat isn’t quite as horrendous as last week, and that we have some cooler nights at the very least. Harbour City sure does like to break records…

Weekly Wrap: 1/52

  1. I thought I’d have another crack at the whole weekly blog post thing again this year – and I am determined to improve on my attempts of 2016. I’ve even downloaded the WordPress app on my phone, which I think will be a big help.
  2. I’ve spent the better part of this week fighting off my first virus of the year, but I feel like I’m on the mend, despite a bit of a lingering cough and some sinus pain that I haven’t yet been able to kick. With a bit of luck I’ll be back to normal in time for my birthday at the end of the month, so that I don’t have to postpone my birthday dinner like I did last year!
  3. I’ve had the past couple of weeks over Christmas and New Year off work, but I’m finally heading back to the office tomorrow, and it is going to hurt! I have had to log in a couple of times this week, but the time at home has been fantastic and I’m a little sad that it has come to an end already. With this said, I am looking forward to getting stuck into work for 2017, and seeing where the year takes me.
  4. Harbour City turned on the sunshine this weekend so Mr Posy and I hit the beach for our first dip of the year (pictured) – it was absolutely glorious. Not a bad way to spend a few hours of my last day before I return to reality!
